Abstract
"A final de los ochenta del pasado siglo comenzó su trabajo en común el grupo que daría lugar a la creación -en el año 1995- del Master y del Observatorio de Bioética y Derecho (OBD) de la Universitat de Barcelona, con un enfoque entonces novedoso y rupturista al sostener que el tratamiento de las nuevas cuestiones bioéticas debía enmarcarse en el respeto y la promoción de los derechos humanos reconocidos, y analizar las implicaciones éticas, legales y sociales de la tecnociencia con un punto de vista interdisciplinar y laico" ["At the end of the 1980s, the group that would eventually lead to the creation - in 1995 - of the Bioethics and Law Observatory and the Master in Bioethics and Law, began working together with what was then a new and groundbreaking approach: arguing that the treatment of new bioethical questions should be within a framework of respect for and promotion of recognized human rights, and analysing the ethical, legal and social implications of the technoscience involved from an interdisciplinary and secular perspective"]
