Defending after-birth abortion

Abstract

"We are grateful that as renowned a journal as the Monash Bioethics Review opened up a discussion about our article ‘After-birth abortion. Why should the baby live?’1 and provided us with the space to respond to some comments published in a dedicated symposium.2 Having read in the last few months many insulting and misleading comments in the media and in private emails we received, we are happy to finally engage in what our paper was meant to promote: a serious debate about the issue of the moral status of early forms of human life"
