Abstract

"Este artigo tem como objetivo verificar a plausibilidade da crença na imortalidade inerente da alma a partir da leitura da parábola do homem rico e Lázaro, contidaem Lucas 16. Para tanto, o cenário histórico é remontado a partir de uma leitura de textos judaicos e greco-romanos da época e da análise linguístico-cultural, especificamente do termo hades, utilizado em Lc 16:23. Com base nos dados bibliográficos que ampararam esta pesquisa, conclui-se que autores deste século e do século passado concordam que não pode ser extraída uma base doutrinária para a imortalidade inerente da alma a partir dessa narrativa nem, sequer, um endosso da mesma" ["This article aims to determine the plausibility of belief in the inherent immortality of the soul from the parable of the rich man and Lazarus reading, contidaem Luke 16.
