Abstract

"Este estudo é uma pequena proposta para identificarmos quem, dentro do contexto das Escrituras, é o arcanjo Miguel e quais seriam as suas principais funções. Os escritos a respeito do arcanjo Miguel remontam pelo menos até o 3º século a.C. Visto que em toda a história houve diferentes opiniões sobre o assunto, este trabalho apresenta não somente uma análise histórica, mas também um estudo exegético em todas as passagens bíblicas onde a figura de Miguel aparece. O método utilizado é o gramático-histórico, de modo que é dada uma ênfase no aspecto gramático-teológico das passagens" ["This research is a brief attempt of identification, within the context of the Scriptures, of the archangel Michael and his main functions. The writings on the archangel Michael go back as far as the Third Century B.C. In view that, throughout history, there has always been different opinions about this subject, the present study will not only present a historical analysis of the subject, but it will also engage into an exegetic study of all the biblical texts where the figure of Michael appears.
