A forma literária do “oráculo contra Israel” em Amós 2:6-16 [The literary form of the 'oracle against Israel' in Amos 2:6-16]

Abstract

"A forma do "oráculo contra Israel", que aparece ao final da série de oito oráculos contra as nações em Amós 1-2, tem sido alvo de muito debate entre os exegetas e especialistas do Antigo Testamento. Porque os sete primeiros oráculos dessa série seguem basicamente uma mesma estrutura formal e o oitavo, o "oráculo contra Israel", diverge de modo tão marcante dos seus predecessores? Diferentes respostas têm sido dadas a este questionamento. O presente trabalho sugere que a forma literária do "processo jurídico da aliança", ou Rîb, e mais especificamente a forma baseada no pronunciamento de um juiz, parece resolver o problema a contento. Esta forma específica nos dá a chave para a compreensão das características próprias desse oráculo e da sua função dentro da série de oráculos que inicia o livro do profeta Amós" ["The form of the "oracle against Israel", that appears at the end of the series of the eight oracles against the nations in Amos 1-2, has been the subject of much debate among Old Testament exegetes and scholars. Why do the first seven oracles of that series follow the same basic form and the form of the "oracle against Israel" diverge so significantly from them? Different answers have been given to this question. The present article suggests that the "covenant lawsuit" or Rîb form, more specifically the form based on a speech of a judge, seems to solve satisfactorily this question. This specific form gives the key to the understanding of the oracles own characteristics and to its function inside the series of oracles that initiate the book of the prophet Amos"]
