Abstract
This paper contains an explanation of Tifa Syawat, a tradition of Kokoda’s art communities, used by the preachers of Islam to deliver religious messages. This is a design of dakwah strategies for Islamic teaching which the concepts can be accepted and responded well by the community. The result of this study shows that Tifa Syawat has a significant and effective way in delivering message of Islamic values to the Kokoda community in West Papua.
