Abstract
The article discusses the concept of gender as a paradigmatic case of border between the biological and the political-economic. Forgotten examines the historical origins of the idea of gender as a social construction in the Manuscripts of Economics and Philosophy in 1844 by Marx. His concept of alienation is considered key to understanding human behavior in industrial society and the capitalist system, showing how alienation is not only productive but also reproductive"]
