Abstract

"Neste trabalho pretendemos discutir as posições de vários atores envolvidos no que se chama perdas econômicas por furto de energia. A relação com o objeto de estudo se deu na busca pela compreensão da posição dos agentes de controle social que atuam no processo de normalização dos consumidores, em uma ampla gama de papeis, jurídicos e não jurídicos. O contexto empírico ocorreu nos “operativos” que a empresa realiza em conjunto com inspetores e peritos vinculados à Delegacia de Defesa dos Serviços Delegados – DDSD –do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Nos operativos, além dos agentes da DDSD e de várias equipes da empresa buscava-se a presença de jornalistas de instituições de radiodifusão, convidados pela concessionária, com o objetivo de relatar as ações da empresa e do Estado, ou sensibilizar os consumidores dos riscos e a ilegalidade do furto de energia, o popular “gato”" [": Nearly fifteen years after the privatization of various public services and the creation of the first regulatory agency in Brazil, in this work we intend to discuss the positions of various actors involved in what is called economic losses due to theft of energy.
