Abstract
Ler Pascal é vacinar-se de certa forma de toda tendência modernista e reducionista" [" To remember Pascal in our days is to remember that the human being is an open system which cannot be reduced to Cartesian definitions. If there was something Pascal pursued all his life long, this was the love for truth. Due to the renown he acquired through his scientific work, he was able to echo those truths which transcend human being qua human being. Pascal's life was short but intense. Given the fact that He is the Way, Truth and Life, Pascal found in Him those answers that constituted his whole ideal of life. Thus to read Pascal is, in a way, to get immunized against all modernist and reductionist tendencies"]
