The Theological Premises and Canonical Consequences of Church Synodality as Reflected in the Ravenna Document

Abstract

"The dialogue between the Orthodox Church and the Roman-Catholic Church is one of the most important theological dialogues, since it is a dialogue between two churches with apostolic origins. We regard the Ravenna Document as the result of a major effort to bring the two churches closer together, but we may also assert that it opened a new chapter in the understanding of ecclesiology in all its aspects."
