Abstract
This article explores the theme of tolerance and the urgency on issues such as otherness and prejudice, through a history of the reading of the X-Men film trilogy presented in closed earlier this century. The mutant superheroes were created in 1963 and carry all the fears and hopes of a post-war and social change. This article reveals that, for the exercise of tolerance, the mobilization of various links of the social web is required. To discuss tolerance, the film X-Men have become emblematic regarding human relations between people of different races, cultures and beliefs. This article points out the practice of tolerance as prospects for peaceful coexistence based on understanding of love as proposed by the Danish theologian Søren Kierkegaard"]
