Abstract
This essay addresses the tension between cultural identities in a globalized context, asking questions from the critical observation of the spread of superaventura genre beyond the borders of the United States. The analysis of this cultural shift evokes discussion of American cultural influence, trying to identify to what extent this influence, overlaps or is transformed into other contexts. The focus of this analysis is directed to the superaventura in the Brazilian context and the two specific cases: Spider-Man in Japan and India"]
