"O autor analisa os dados estatísticos disponíveis da Igreja Evangélica de Confissão Luterana (IECLB) e dos sínodos que a antecederam quanto ao crescimento do número de membros através do batismo de infantes. Compara as taxas de batismos e de sepultamentos dos membros da Igreja com a taxa de nascimentos e batismos da população brasileira, mostrando como e onde se dá o declínio do crescimento natural da Igreja" ["The author analyzes the available statistical data of the Evangelical Church of Lutheran Confession (IECLB) and synods that preceded it as the growing number of members through the baptism of infants.
