Abstract
"There are a number of issues in Dan 10 and its relations with what follows in Dan 1 1 and 12 that have not as yet been resolved by commentary studies on this chapter. One obvious problem for modern interpreters is the question of what constituted Daniel's grave concern recorded here. Why was he mourning and fasting? Is there any direct or indirect historical evidence from extra-biblical sources that might shed light on the contents of this narrative?"
