<p>The goal of this project was to develop a grant proposal for a social support program directed at meeting the educational and social needs of newly diagnosed older adult males 55 and older. AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) in Los Angeles, California is the agency selected to sponsor this support group and the Irvine Foundation was selected as the source for grant submission.</p><p> The objective of the proposed program is to provide both education and social support to newly diagnosed older adult males 55 and older in order to increase their awareness of their disease and provide increased social support. The program's main goal is to improve quality of life by providing medical knowledge and social support which can be used throughout their life. The actual submission and funding of this grant are not requirements for the successful completion of this project. </p>Date
