Abstract
View of the tower
In the 1950s Siqueiros continued to experiment with new techniques, of which the most innovative was escultopintura or the combination of sculpture and painting in his murals, most notably in the exterior cement relief covered with mosaics entitled The People to the University and the University to the People at the University City in Mexico City. Whereas Rivera used architecture as a frame and Orozco treated it as a foil, Siqueiros employed it as the fulcrum of both style and message.
