This study was accomplished under the guidance and direction of Dr. Waynne James, Associate Professor in the School of Occupational and Adult Educa~ion. Most of the study was c9nducted concurrently with six other graduate students--Jack Akins, Bill Brown, Joe Nix, Linda Rice, Bill Russell, and Evelyn Stewart--who are working on related studies of learning styles. Dr. Russell French, a professor at the University of Tennessee, assisted in training the graduate students in the use and administration of the measurement instruments. Dr. French and Dr. Clarence Cherry continued to work with the graduate students throughout their respective studies. Due to the close association among the graduate students and the related study topics, some portions of this study may appear similar to certain portions.of 'the other students' work, particularly the discussions of research methodology and data collection.Occupational and Adult Education
