Abstract

Transfer Students: Transfer in good standing from another institution of higher learning. Other: Applicants may submit a High School GED Certificate in lieu of a regular diploma. (2) Status Pending: In special cases students may be accepted pending receipt of necessary transcripts. When all necessary transcripts have been received and evaluated the student may be changed to Full Acceptance Status or Provisional Status, whichever is applicable. (3) Special Non-Degree Status: (a) Adult students who wish to enroll in special courses or in courses for personal enrichment may enter under this category. These students will be considered as non-degree seeking students. At a later date, if the student wishes to pursue a degree, he must submit all necessary documents and apply for Full Acceptance Status. The Admissions and Standards Committee will review the student's records and determine if credits earned in non-degree status may be applied toward a degree. (b) Certain high school students in their senior year may apply to take specific courses while still attending high school. Such applications must be accompanied by certification from an appropriate high school official stating that the high school official agrees to the student's specific program. Credits earned in this status will not be transferred until the student presents a high school diploma and is placed in Full Acceptance Status.

(c) A student at Bellevue College who changes his status from "non-degree student" or "special student" to "degree-seeking student" will be subject to the requirements for graduation which
