How does biotechnology and genetic engineering of an embryo affect our view on our own human nature? We want to cure genetic diseases like diabetes with genetic engineering, but where do we draw the line? This essay is about how we as human beings take on the research that exists and will appear in our lives in the future. Do people go against the technology or do we use it to gain individual success? The future possibility of modifying a child genetically may bring different social consequences. Elitism, racial breeding and identity crisis may be a few of the social consequences that can appear if we let people use biotechnology and genetic engineering to modify our future children. There is a chance that our human nature will become more of a cultural phenomenon for the future human being. The risk of us replacing our human nature with genetic engineering may appear if we do not learn where to draw the line. Biotechnology and genetic engineering may create a post human future.Date
