Abstract

The article discusses ethical and moral issues raised with the concepts of privacy and confidentiality in the prescreening and review process for research which uses human subjects. In the article the authors offer their opinions on the importance of privacy as it relates to subject data in research which uses human subjects and on several points which are raised in the article "You Don't Know Me, But: Access to Patient Data and Subject Recruitment in Human Subjects" by Toby Schonfeld et al.
