Abstract
Briefly described is a multidisciplinary half-day workshop on the treatment of defective newborns held at St. Thomas's hospital in London. The responses of the participants to a questionnaire on various decision making issues were used to stimulate discussion of parental rights, quality of life, and withholding treatment. The multidisiciplinary approach to ethical problems was endorsed, with plans being proposed for future workshops on other topics. (KIE abstract)Date
