Abstract
Frantisek Bakule was a Czech teacher and one of the most prolific and innovative member of the Progressive Education Movement. In 1920, as he was a partisan of coeducation, he founded an institute for both disabled children and Prague’s street children.Firmly convinced that artistic practice had educational virtues, he created a choirwith them which he led to international scenes with a great success. His pioneering experience highlights the substantial momentum created by an ethical reflection founded on promotion of vulnerable people’s dignity.
