Abstract
Komuniciranje je osnovni i najvažniji dio kulture. Od antičke povijesti ljudi su unaprijeđivali sebe i civilizaciju kroz komunikaciju, komunikacija kao glavni element međuljudskih odnosa predstavlja najvažniji alat za napredak i blagostanje. Svaka kultura na svijetu ima svoj način komuniciranja, bilo verbalnog ili neverbalnog. Budući se u međunarodnom poslovanju susrećemo s mnogo stranaca iz različitih kultura, te se raznolikosti u komunikaciji moraju poštivati, te ih moramo u jednu ruku prihvatiti i prilagoditi se njima. Otvoren um prema prihvaćanju raznolikosti koje donose drukčije kulture vodi dobrom i zdravom poslovanju. No uz poštivanje raznolikosti u internacionalnim vodama, one se moraju poštivati i unutar firme. Komunikacija s kolegama i suradnicima je osjetljiva tema. Menadžeri su raznolikog karaktera i imaju različite pristupe komuniciranju s kolegama, neki su vičniji verbalnoj komunikaciji, a neki neverbalnoj. Menadžer mora naučiti poštivati prostor i vrijeme drugih i odvajati formalno od neformalnog, isto tako mora naučiti voditi tim prema cilju, predvoditi sastanke na kojima se odlučuje o daljnjem radu firme. U radu će biti definiran široki spektar pojmova, od kulture, etnocentrizma i ksenofobije, pa sve do raznih komunikacijskih zapreka u modernom poslovanju, s ciljem boljeg razumijevanja utjecaja komuniciranja na našu kulturu.Communication is the basic and most important part of culture, since ancient history people have improved themselves and the civilization through communication, communication as a main element of interpersonal relations presents the most important element for improvement and prosperity. Every culture has its own way of communication, verbal and nonverbal, and regarding the fact that in international business people meet with many strangers from different cultures, means that they must leatn to accept and adapt to these cultures. Open mind towards accepting differences leads to prosperous and healthy business. But along with respecting differences in international business, differences should be respected inside the organization as well. Different managers have different ways of handling relationships with their colleagues, some are verbal, and some nonverbal types. But also they must learn to respect time and space of their colleagues and separate formal from unformal. Managers should also learn to lead their team towards success, as well as business meetings, in which the future of the organization is decided. In this paper a wide variety of terms will be defines, such as culture, ethnocentrism, xenophobia, all the way to obstacles in modern business communication, with the goal of better understanding the impact communication has on our culture.
