Viešosios politikos vaidmuo skatinant įmonių socialinę atsakomybę
Abstract
The government input into corporate social responsibility is a highly debatable scholarly discussion, which argues on two polarized CSR dimensions in terms of public policy development: school of voluntary approach and school of accountability approach. Both schools have their implications on roles of public policy and the impacts of national intervention policy on CSR. Therefore, this discussion assesses the balance between regulatory governmental approach to CSR and facilitating governmental approach to CSR. The author argues that only the co-existence of both approaches provides with the possibilities to create an enabling environment for CSR and coordinate the business contribution to sustainable development. This article also investigates the situation of CSR in Lithuania in the context of public policy development.Date
