AbstractThe Department of Defense's desire to have a flexible force structure capable of responding to a wide range of threats has led the Army to create the 1st Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. This new Command encompasses all active duty Special Forces, Ranger, Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Units. Sharing in this resurgence of interest in special capabilities is psychological operations, the purpose of which is to create in foreign groups the emotions, attitudes or behavior to support the achievement of national objectives. To assist student researchers in a better understanding of this unique capability, the USAWC Library has developed this bibliography of literature on psychological operations, psychological warfare, and propaganda. This list does not pretend to be comprehensive; it reflects only those sources readily available in the USAWC Library collection.
