Empresas y Derechos Humanos. O cómo llevar la pedagogía crítica al aula de español como lengua extranjera

Abstract

Este artículo expone un estudio de caso llevado a cabo con estudiantes universitarios del Collège Européen Franco Allemand de Sciences Po París en Nancy basado en la pedagogía crítica. El objetivo principal fue hacer tomar conciencia a los participantes (futuros miembros de empresas y organizaciones europeas e internacionales) del irrespeto de Derechos Humanos por parte de algunas corporaciones transnacionales en América Latina. Mediante este estudio también se buscó generar reflexión en los estudiantes y llevarlos a evaluar problemas precisos, tratar de encontrar soluciones y actuar a corto y mediano plazo para aportar una solución. Las conclusiones arrojadas revelan que se puede aprender español de manera crítica y reflexiva confirmando que la lengua es un medio de acceso tanto a la cultura de los países hispanoamericanos como al desarrollo intelectual y al pensamiento crítico.

This paper presents a case study on critical pedagogy carried out with students from the Collège Européen Franco Allemand of Sciences Po Paris in Nancy. Its main aim was to help students (future members of corporations and international organizations) become aware the violation of Human Rights by some transnational corporations in Latin America. It also sought to get students to think critically so that they are able to analyze specific problems, try to find solutions and get involved in the middle run by coming up with possible solutions. The conclusions of this case study reveal that it is possible to teach languages critically, which confirms that by learning Spanish students can enhance their knowledge about the Spanish�speaking cultures as well as develop their intellectual skills and critical thinking.
