Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). As part of this process was to collect a wide range of expertise dealing with that issue. Topic – CSR – responds to the current situation in the markets, where corporate social responsibility is becoming an effective process of obtaining competitive advantages. The purpose of this thesis is to comparing the approaches to the application of social responsibility in the Czech republic and foreign enterprises. Representative national organization is joint stock company Czech Coal. Foreign companies are XSTRATA, BHP BILITION and BARRICK GOLD CORPORATION. Based on the analysis of individual activities, recommendations for improving the activities of domestic companies.
