Abstract
ING
While in the Nazi-Fascist Europe despair, oppression and destruction of the human being seemed to triumph, undermining the meaning of life and the inalienable human values, Etty’s experience in limine mortis, in her last two years of life, attests that the extreme border of the announced death is for Etty the spur to begin her journey that will lead her to conceive life "rich in meaning" and to nullify the iniquitous action of evil, thus revealing the consistency and the measure of the most genuine humanity, as well as the profound meaning of humanism. Through the reading of his writings and the search for a sense of the joy that comes from these, this essay aims to show what is the main road, that Etty travels, which saves from existential death and that transforms every threshold of death into threshold of new life.
 ITA
