Abstract
[[abstract]]社區大學學員參與藝術創作課程之自我導向學習經驗指導教授:王維旎 博士研 究 生:吳詩敏摘要 隨著社會型態的改變,成人參與學習活動已經是個很普遍的現象,也是人們生活的重要部分,各國都漸漸地朝「學習社會」來發展。學習社會很重視學習者的主體性,倡導自我導向的學習,學習者可依各自的學習需求,主動的、自主的選擇學習內容、和學習方式。雖然大多數的成人對於進行藝術創作有心理上的壓力,但是社區大學所推出的藝術創作課程卻很受到成人學習者的歡迎。可見,社區大學學員在參與藝術創作課程之自我導向學習經驗是個很重要且值得深入探究的議題。 因此,本研究目的乃在探討參與社區大學藝術創作課程學員之學習動機;參與課程時所遭遇的學習障礙及因應方式和分析學員在學習過程中的自我導向學習歷程,以作為未來更多的成人學習者將來在參與藝術學習課程上的參考。 為達成上述之研究目的,本研究採質性研究的方法,以社區大學為研究場域,訪談六位參與藝術創作課程的學習者,以瞭解其在參與課程時之自我導向學習經驗。本研究結論如下:一、將生活做更完善的規劃是學員參與藝術創作課程的主要原因二、影響學員參與藝術創作課程的障礙因素,對高齡學員而言是健康因素,對青壯年學員而言是工作和家庭因素三、對缺乏相關藝術創作經驗的學員來說,技法上的學習問題是主要的學習障礙四、學員先前的藝術創作學習經驗是學習的助力也是學習的阻力五、學員參與藝術創作課程的成就感來自學習歷程中能力的提升和對生活目標的正向轉 變六、參與藝術創作課程有助於學員人際關係的拓展和自我的肯定七、自我導向學習能力是可以被訓練的八、藝術創作經驗越多,有助於提升個人的自我導向學習能力九、學員參與藝術創作課程的自我導向學習觀點應採取多面向的論點來加以分析十、社區大學的老師對學員在自我導向學習的經驗上扮演很重要的角色十一、社區大學的學習氣氛有助於學員在藝術創作課程上的自我導向學習經驗 最後,本研究針對社區大學參與藝術創作課程的學員、社區大學以及未來研究提出下列建議:一、對社區大學參與藝術創作課程的學員之建議(一)參與創作性的藝術課程前,可先學一些基礎的技法課程(二)學員可共組學習團體,互相切磋成長二、對社區大學之建議(一)可辦理遠距教學的服務,作為因故無法參與課程的學員之補充教材(二)可多辦理與藝術大師交流的課程或講座,以彌補教師個人專業能力之不足(三)社區大學的行政人員在開課前能清楚的向學員說明課程是有階段性差別的(四)社區大學的講師仍應不斷提升自我的專業知能三、對未來研究之建議(一)選取曾參與兩種不同類型藝術創作課程的學員,比較其在自我導向學習上之經驗(二)以社區大學的教師和學員共同作為研究對象(三)針對不同藝術創作課程之學習氣氛,比較學員在自我導向學習上的經驗之不同
[[abstract]]Research in self-directed learning experiences of the Community College students participating in art-creating coursesAdviser: Dr. Wei-ni WangStudent: Shih-ming WuAbstractAs the changes in social state, that adults participating in learning activities is a common phenomenon, as well as an important part of our lives. Each country tends to develop a "learning society" gradully. Learners’ indenpency and self-directed learning are emphasized and advocated in a learning society, which learners can choose their learning contents and learning styles actively and independently according to their individual learning needs. Although mental stress occurred for most adults participating in art-creating activities, the art-creating courses arranged by the Community College are very popular for adult learners. Therefore, the issue of the self-directed learning experiences of the Community College students participating in art-creating courses is worth disscussion.The purpose of the study was to investigate the motivation of the Community College students participating in art-creating courses; the learning obstacles they encounter as participating in courses and the way they cope with them as well as self-directed learning history in learning process. The research results will be given to more adults learners as their references when they participate in art courses in the future.Qualitative research method was taken in the study. Six adult learners of the Community College in art-creating courses were interviewed to understand their self-directed learning experiences as they participate in the course. In this study, the results were presented as the following:a) The main reason of students participating in art-creating courses is to make a better life plan.b) The obstacle factors of influencing learners participating in art-creating courses, as far as advanced learners are concerned, is the health, but for young adults, is work and family. c) As far as the adult learners lacking of relevant art-creating experiences are concerned, the main obstacle is technical problem.d) The previous art-creating learning experiences of learners are either aassistance or hindrance.e) The sense of achievement of students participating in art-creating courses comes from the promotion of their ability in learning process and positive changes in life goals.f) Participating in art courses will help students develop interpersonal relationships and self-affirmation.g) The ability of self-directed learning can be trained.h) More experiences of art-creating can be contributive to enhance individual self-directed learning.i) The view of self-directed learning of students participating in art-creating courses should be analyzed in more points.j) The Community College teachers play an important role in learners’ self-directed learning experiences. k) The learning atmosphere of the Community College is assistant to learners’ self-directed learning experiences.Finally, the research provides the following suggestions for the Community College students participating in art-creating courses and future studies:I. Suggestions on the Community College students participating in art-creating courses:A) Before participating in art-creating courses, students can learn some basic technical curriculum.B) Students can establish study groups and learn from each other.II. Suggestions on the Community College:A) To have service of distance learning as supplement materials for learners who can not attend the courses.B) Arrange some courses of lectures of Masters of art to make up the shortage of individual teacher’s professional ability.C) Administrative staff of the Community College should explain clearly to students about phased differences of the courses before class begins.D) Lecturers of the Community College should keep advancing their specialty. III. Suggestions on future studies:A) Selecting learners who have participated in different kinds of art-creating courses, and compare their experiences of self-directed learning.B) Both the Community College teachers and students are research subjects.C) According to the atmosphere of different art-creating courses, compare the differences of learners’ self-directed learning experiences.
