AbstractIndustrial Engineering Technology students at East Carolina University take a Thermal and Fluid Systems course. To enhance the learning and comprehension of the subject matter, the instructor utilized a service learning project. This service learning project utilized materials taught in class to devise a solar-powered charging station for portable devices. The students were able to take concepts from class and utilize them in a real world application.
