Abstract: Remind (formerly Remind 101) is a free one-directional text message application that instructors can use to communicate with their students in real time (Juarez, 2014). The application is very popular in K-12 educational environments. However, educators in Higher Education have not adapted the application at the same rate as K-12 (Juarez, 2014). As an experiment, during the fall 2015, the application was used, for the first time, with two college courses, at a community college in Northeast Ohio. The purpose was to determine if the integration of the application was effective. At the end of the fall semester, a brief survey was given to the students to determine if the application had an impact on them during the semester. Survey results from the students are shared as well as the point of view from the instructor who decided to use the application in her classroom.Date
