This bachelor´s thesis analyses the protection of animals and mass epizootological measures. It provides current perspective on methods, their description and use. The thesis, being theoretical, describes laws and regulations on animal protection in the Czech Republic, explains aims, content and forms of epizootological measures and focuses on professional ethics. It explains fundamental concepts, such as welfare, the five freedoms. It defines the concept of animal, ethiological agens, contamination route of an infection, methods of animal reviving and slaughtering and possibilities to proclaim an infection to be overcome. Further, it explains the notion of eradication, demonstrations of an infection and its influences on economy of operation and organization. The thesis is to describe the theory of implementation and realization of epizootological measures, while maintaining ethics and moral values. The author thus fills a gap in offer of publications of this kind.Date
