Abstract
Ensayo clínico con 141 mujeres diagnosticadas de fibromialgia previa aprobación por el Comité de Ética de la Universidad de Extremadura, valorando la efectividad de la fisioterapia y el Qi Gong en la mejora de la calidad de vida de estos pacientes durante 4 semanas. La muestra fue distribuida aleatoriamente en tres grupos: grupo control, al que no se le practicó ningún tratamiento experimental, y dos grupos de intervención: uno de fisioterapia y otro de Qi Gong. Los resultados obtenidos fueron favorables para los grupos de intervención frente al grupo control en la mejora del equilibrio (p= 0,044); balance muscular (p? 0,05); valores espirométricos (p? 0,05) y calidad de vida de los pacientes (p=0,007). Nuestros resultados nos avalan al decir que la fisioterapia y el Qigong son dos técnicas efectivas para la mejora de la sintomatología de pacientes con fibromialgia.
Clinical trial with 141 women diagnosed with fibromyalgia prior approval by the Ethics Committee of the University of Extremadura, evaluating the effectiveness of physical therapy and Qi Gong in improving the quality of life of these patients for 4 weeks. The sample was randomly distributed in three groups: group control, to not be any practiced experimental treatment, and two groups of intervention: physical therapy and another one of Qi Gong. The results were favorable for intervention groups against the control group in improving balance (p = 0.044); balance muscle (p ? 0.05) values spirometric (p ? 0.05) and quality of life patient (p = 0.007). We guarantee our results to say that the physiotherapy and the QiGong are two techniques effective for the improvement of the symptoms of patients with fibromyalgia.
