Contextualizar en ciencias: por qué y para qué

Abstract

Contextualizar la ciencia es utilizar sus aplicaciones, sus implicaciones sociales y éticas, y los fenómenos de la vida cotidiana, como medio para desarrollar los conceptos e ideas de la ciencia y justificar su importancia. En este artículo se analizan diferentes argumentos a favor de la contextualización en las clases de ciencias y se indican algunos aspectos que deben tenerse en cuenta en el diseño de unidades didácticas contextualizadas. También se exponen posibles problemas derivados de esta organización en torno a un contexto.
