Abstract

One of most important purposes of adult education, especially informal adult education, is to create conditions for development of a personality and a person’s professional improvement. The article presents data of researches conducted by the author of the article and by other scientists on motivation and possibilities of participation of adults in informal adult education. Causes impeding more active participation of adult students are discussed.
