Abstract
This essay describes participation in a Faculty Learning Community and Faculty Development Seminar to Romania and how this format of combined study and travel was transformed into specific projects and ideas for teaching a foreign language (Spanish). Comparisons were drawn between the Roma ethnic minority in Romania and Latino immigrants in the United States through the study of film and participation in events tied to the Year of Romania program at Kennesaw State University.Date
