Introdução ao conceito de Vontade Geral

Abstract

Vontade Geral é um conceito fundamental da teoria política de Jean-Jacques Rousseau. A intenção deste artigo é mostrar alguns atributos dessa vontade; apontar sua importância nas idéias rousseaunianas de Soberania e Lei; apresentar como ela é identificada e promovida e como ela se impõe na sociedade pós-pacto garantindo a igualdade e a liberdade do homem social.

General Will is one fundamental concept of the political theory of Jean-Jacques Rousseau. The intention of this article is show some attributes of that will; to mark its importance on ideas of Rousseau about Sovereignty and Law; to present how it is observed and fostered and how it impose itself in society post-pact guaranting the equality and liberty of social man.
