Abstract
The idea of the sacred constitutes one of the fundamental questions in María Zambrano's philosophical project. For Zambrano religiousness is the dimension which was the source of the human, and from there one wonders about the possible conditions of existence and a reflection which includes history, religion, poetry etc. gains meaning. Thus, it is reasonable to assert that the question about the being in Zambrano's philosohpy implies, as in Heidegger, a questioning of the structure of the being of the entity that asks.
