The purpose of this dissertation is to introduce the process of designing a language programme, in this case an English for Special Purposes Language Programme, more exactly an English for the Military Language Programme. This process is strictly regulated by the FAT (Adult Education Accreditation Organization) in Hungary with its own instructions and forms to fill in. However, this paper will only discuss those steps of the process that are closely connected to language education. The aims of the paper are to describe what language education experts consider important in language programme design through a survey of the literature in all the relevant areas; then to examine how and to what extent these directions and suggestions were realized in the actual programme development process in the specific Hungarian private educational situation; and finally to evaluate the effectiveness of the programme after its implementation and consider the changes or modifications necessary for improvement.régi képzés
