dc.description.abstractThe patenting of genes has over the years attracted so much controversy and debate. This research seeks to analyze the broad discussions surrounding gene patents in regards to morality, law, and religious perspectives whilst elaborating on the potential opportunities presented by gene patents. The research is focused on three major Jurisdictions that is the EU, the US, and Japan due to the influence they have had over the years on practices related to biotechnology inventions.
