This handbook is a deep dive on the causes of urban poverty in Burundi (Africa) guided by the results of an extensive research carried out by the author, Doctor in Theology and expert in Urban Ministry and Missiology. The analysis Thierry Bahizi offers here arises from a holistic viewpoint, including not only the variable of physical, also called material, poverty, but also its spiritual side. Along its pages, the reader is going to find a complete relation of the multiple faces of poverty in the urban nuclei of Burundi, how the local Churches and Parishes can and, in fact, do tackle the situation, and the essential conclusion on the importance of the spiritual work for pauperized collectives.Note(s)

A interligação do urbano e do rural no desenvolvimento de uma região [The interconnection of the urban and of the rural in the development of a region]"O estudo discute a interligação do urbano e do rural no desenvolvimento da região do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (VS), no Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil; através dos dados levantados na pesquisa de campo. O presente trabalho se valeu de uma pesquisa qualitativa, de caráter exploratório, utilizando entrevistas semiestruturadas. A região é conhecida por ser urbana e ter uma forte atividade industrial e de serviços, mas que mantém um urbano ligado ao meio rural. Os resultados demonstraram que essa interligação se dá, especialmente, pela retro alimentação existente entre esses dois territórios. Com isso, emergem subsídios para elaboração de políticas regionais, que estejam de acordo com o desenvolvimento local."
