Abstract
The children who developed disturbing behavior or neurological deficits, as the attention deficit with or without hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), questions our means to help them to develop their life, engaged and responsible. While European context privileges to support them with psycho-educational intervention, the North American medical system resorts easily to drugs to reduce the impact of the behavioral problems of these children. This article approaches various ethical problems bound to the medicalization of the psycho-psychological affections by pharmacological way: the difficulties to objectively diagnose these disorders, the standardization of the children’s behavior by pharmacological way, the low number of the longitudinal studies made with these children, the use of the scientific information by the school educators, paramedical and medical environment, as well as the behavior of the adults accompanying these children in emotional distress.
