Whewell Lectures on the History of Moral Philosophy in England adlı eserinde Bentham ve faydacı teoriye çeşitli eleştiriler yöneltmiştir. Bu polemikte Whewell’in genel amacı, faydacılığın zannedildiği kadar güçlü temellere sahip olmadığını göstermekken, Mill’in amacı ise Whewell’in eleştirilerinin önyargılara dayandığını göstermektir. Bu anlamda her iki teo-rinin de mutlak savunusu olarak kabul edilmemesi gerektiğini düşündüğüm bu tartışmada Mill’in verdiği cevaplarla Whewell’in bir adım önüne geçtiği söylenebilir.

ÇOKOĞULLAR, Emel; BOZASLAN, Bakko (Ankara ÜniversitesiAnkara University, 2015-01-08)
This article attempts to examine how the identity-making elements of Islamist woman, which emerged in the late 1960s and was tried to be defined during the 1970s, developed and why female actors of Islamist movements prefer to use the "society"-oriented rhetoric. Şule Yüksel Şenler, who published Seher Vakti -the first Islamist woman magazine- in 1967, has been known as the first and prominent representative of the movement for Islamist woman, because she undertook a mission of "notification" that made her successful in mobilizing the broad masses for the sake of woman. Between the period 1967-1980, the other representatives of Islamist woman movement, beside Şenler, such as Emine Aykenar, Sevim Asımgil, Bakiye Marangoz and Mü’mine Güneş, publicly used the similar narratives and argumentations in magazines and newspapers with Islamic awareness such as Seher Vakti, Bugün, Yeni Asya, İttihad and Yeni İstiklal

    • 2010-2013 Yıllarında Sorulan YGS Ve LYS Tarih Sorularının Ortaöğretim Tarih Dersi Öğretim Programları Açısından Değerlendirilmesi

İsmail KAYA (Journal of Analytic Divinity, 2017-12-01)
Sınavlarda, müfredatta yer alan her konudan soru yöneltmeye gayret gösterilerek "Kapsam Geçerliği" ilkesine uyulabilir. Tarih dersleri konusunda bir öğrencinin neleri bilmesi gerektiği konusu açıklık kazanmadığı için sınavlarda her yıl bir başka konuya ağırlık verilip diğer konuların ihmal edilmesi bu gerçeği ortaya koymaktadır. Dolayısıyla soruların konulara göre dağılımı önceden tespit edilip yayımlanabilir.

    • 33 LESSONS FOR EVERY MUSLIM

      Al-Shomar, Abdul Aziz Saleh
It gives basic requirements for the foundation of their Aqeedah (creed) and ‘Ibadah (worship). It struck me that this small but informative book would be of immense benefit for non-Arabic speaking Muslims, spread all over the world, if translated into another foreign language. It is a known fact that huge numbers of new Muslims are attracted to Islam from different countries and different cultures. It is important that knowledge of Islam should be provided to them with great care and there should be no confusion in the basic religious knowledge imparted to them. Otherwise, we will be responsible for all the deviations which might crop up among these generations of new Muslims.

    • "Islamic banking and finance: Moral beliefs and business practices at work"

      Ahmed, Karen (DePaul University, 2009-01-01)
The religion of Islam has existed for 1400 years but Islamic economic theory and its financial institutions emerged as an industry only in the 1970s. Islamic financial institutions (IFIs) are designed to help Muslims conduct business internationally while simultaneously upholding traditional Islamic values related to trade finance and currency movement. The basis for their existence is the Islamic moral prohibition on charging interest—interest is a central component of capitalist banking—yet IFIs conduct billions of dollars of business annually in the world economy and the de facto Islamic banking transaction is—in most cases—virtually identical to a capitalist banking transaction. Business practices in the industry of Islamic banking and finance (IBF; Maurer 2005) have evolved to reinforce some of the major tenets of a moral belief system based on Islamic principles. In this chapter, I will discuss specific practices put into place by the IBF community that are designed to embody tenets of a belief system based on Islam while at the same time generating profits for the institution and its customers. This chapter will contribute to the discussion of best corporate practices by introducing some of those practices and discussing how those practices contribute to the success of the industry.
