Abstract
This paper explores the role of emotions and the development of a “resilient mindset” as an impetus for lifelong learning for social justice, as evident in the experiences of three gay male young adults. I discuss how these young adults become Freirean cultural workers who integrate emotional labour and social learning into their resistance work to challenge exclusionary heteronormative educational spaces.Date
