This chapter is focussed on the importance of collaboration when engaging with marginalisation and/or reserach with young children. We consider our experiences as researchers and the processes that supported negotiation of our own and others' perspectives, knowledge and approaches with regard to issues of power relations, ethics and voice. Using sonata-formatted narratives we reflect on interaction that supported the relational production of knowledge and suggest that opportunities for debate, dialogue and collaboration among different stakeholders and audiences (including children, educators, researchers and researched communities) can alleviate marginaliston by heightening new ways of seeing and thinking about marginalised groups.Date
