Executive CommitteeCollection of the minutes of the WCC executive committee. The c entral committee elects 20 of its members to serve as the executive committee of the WCC, meeting twice a year. Its role in policy-making is limited to matters specifically referred to it by the c entral committee—apart from unforeseen emergencies, in regard to which it may take provisional decisions. AssemblyThe collection contains the report of each Assembly as well as other essential texts. The Assembly is the highest governing body of the World Council of Churches (WCC), and normally meets every eight years. A WCC Assembly is a special time in the lives of member churches, ecumenical partners and other churches, as it brings together more than 4,000 participants, coming from all over the world. This makes a WCC Assembly the most diverse Christian gathering of its size in the world. Learn more

Central CommitteeCollection of the minutes of the WCC c entral committee. The c entral committee is elected by the Assembly from among its delegates and serves as the chief governing body of the WCC, meeting every two years. It is responsible for carrying out the policies adopted by the Assembly, supervising WCC programmes and adopting the WCC budget.
