Prisioneros de nuestras propias trampas

Abstract

En este trabajo la autora desarrolla varias ideas relacionadas: la necesidad impostergable de conocer la dimensión bibliográfica de las disciplinas y su historia y evolución; la falta de conocimiento de esa dimensión como generadora de errores conceptuales y de actitudes contradictorias, o sea, de trampas intelectuales; la colisión permanente entre los diferentes roles representados por el investigador científico: autor, editor científico, evaluador y receptor de los trabajos publicados. En la Argentina, al menos, las soluciones podrían anclarse en el reconocimiento de la construcción social de los sistemas científicos, también en asumir que, como integrantes responsables, podríamos adaptarlos o modificarlos para que tengan una escala más realista, por fin, en aceptar con humildad y generosidad la validez de otras realidades disciplinarias, tan respetables como aquella en la cual cada uno investiga y trabaja.

In this paper the author develops several related ideas: the urgent need to know the disciplines bibliographic dimension, and its history and development; the lack of awareness of this dimension as a generator of misconceptions and contradictory attitudes, i.e., intellectual traps; the ongoing collision between the different roles represented by the researcher: author, editor, referee and recipient of the published literature. In Argentina, at least, the solutions could be anchored in our recognition of the social construction of scientific systems, also we must assume that, as part responsible, we could adapt or modify them to have a more human realistic scale, finally, to accept with humility and generosity the validity of other disciplinary realities, as respectable as that in which each of us research and work.
