Abstract
[[abstract]]This thesis discusses the Presbyterian Church’s missionary work besides the medical service also use the education to improve the world cognition and religion quality from 1865 The Tainan area’s children missionary was very important movement that it was started from the Tai-pie-gin Presbyterian Church Since long-time ago Presbyterian Church Sunday school has been doing the mission work for children therefore this article will discuss the influence and the achievement of the Presbyterian Church children Sunday school in Taiwan's mission strategy Using the church established during the “doubly movement” started at Taiwan Presbyterian Church hundredth anniversary ----- the Tainan Hu-Ga Presbyterian church as an example for explanation How has it developed into one of the most growing population Sunday school during recent 20 years and has become the observable and emulated church to others its growth and the children mission strategy are worth to study The history of Hu-Ga Presbyterian church children Sunday school development can be divided into three stages: the first stage was from 1954 to 1987 the second stage was from 1988 to 2000 and the third stage was from 2001 to 2004 The changes of the children Sunday school population are use to distinguish these three stages and are used to understand the position the significance the achievement and the expectation for the children Sunday school in churche From the vertical aspect studies the Sunday school student population growth and the decline reasons and analyze the Hu-Ga Presbyterian church Sunday school growth declension and how to enter the community to create the new achievement for the Children Sunday school today The student population increased rapidly when the children Sunday school has changed style to become the community children weekend camp in recent years From this point uses the horizontal aspect to analysis and using the history observation the questionnaire survey and the face to face interview research techniques to studying During the progress of this research the Hu-Ga Presbyterian church still has the room to improve; whish is carrying out the community service like community resources conformity community minority concern literature and history work and so on While the population in Hu-Ga area increases it also must pay attention to the multicultural aspect in mission the education strategy and must take root in Christian belief therefore it can be distinguished from the talent and skill class in the modern society This research hope that can make the statement to the modern Children Sunday school activity and provides the single case to make the thinking the sharing and a drive document to increases the aspect to the present stage various churches Sunday school in the community development as the growth of student population From the Hu-Ga Children Sunday school reforming experience and this article analysis research; these can help in the child life-time education and mold the moral character of the child Hope for the combine effort in child Christianity education from numerous churches in the future
[[abstract]]本文旨在探討自一八六五年開始長老教會在台灣的宣教,除了透過醫療配合傳教工作外,也同時以教育來啟蒙台灣人民對世界的認知並提升信仰品質,而台南地區是長老教會兒童主日學的濫觴,在現今太平境教會開始在兒童事工的宣教工作。 長久以來長老教會的主日學就一直持續在對兒童做宣教工作,因此本文將對長老教會兒童主日學在台灣的宣教策略、影響及成果做一探討。並以在響應長老教會在台灣設教百週年的倍加運動中設立的教會----台南後甲基督長老教會為例子作一說明。其如何在近二十年間發展成為在兒童主日學方面人數最多,常為眾教會觀摩的教會,其成長及宣教的方式和歷程值得研究。 後甲教會兒童主日學發展的歷史因學生人數的變化區分為三個階段,第一個階段為1954年創立至1987年,第二階段為1988年至2000年,第三階段為2001年至2004年。試以這三階段來瞭解主日學在教會中的定位、意義、成果及教會對主日學的期?。透過在縱向方面研究主日學學生人數成長及衰退的變因,分析後甲教會主日學的成長、衰微及如何走進社區再次締造當年主日學的佳績等,分析其發展的特色及時代意義。近幾年後甲兒童主日學改變聚會方式成為社區兒童週末營後,在人數上快速的驟增,因此就此時段做一橫截面研究,以實地觀察、問卷調查與人物訪談等研究方法,作一橫向的分析探討。 在研究過程中也看出後甲教會仍須努力的方向,就是需落實社區的服務,如社區資源的整合、社區弱勢的關懷、文史的工作等。而後甲地區人口增加,在宣教上也需注意多元文化的教育策略,更要紮根在基督教的信仰,才不會流於坊間才藝班的形式。 在此研究中期盼對近代主日學的活動型態及其改變做一整理及陳述,並能對現階段各教會的主日學在社區事工提供一個有省思、分享及激勵的個案,藉由後甲教會在主日學轉型的經驗及本文的分析研究,能在兒童生命教育及品格塑造上有所助益,並期盼眾教會在兒童基督教教育上群策群力。
