EMPLOYMENT: A NEED AND BOTTLENECK FOR THE MUSLIM WOMEN

Abstract

Plenty of studies are done about the work participation of women and Muslim
 women in particular. And the results have shown that the work participation of Muslim women
 is very less. And those who are working, for them also it is not easy to manage the household and
 the work outside. On the one hand they are contributing to the economy of the family and on the
 other they are being targeted for being a working woman and for being a social woman.
 Therefore the researcher aimed at finding the real problems being faced by these women in their
 family as well as in the society.
 Purpose: Researcher attempted to study the problems faced by the lower class Muslim
 women who opt for work and look at the discourses impacting their personal life.
