Percepción sobre inseguridad ciudadana

Abstract

El presente estudio se llevó a cabo en el distrito de San Juan de Miraflores con el propósito principal de obtener información confiable sobre «percepción de inseguridad y victimización» de los ciudadanos. El estudio es de tipo cuantitativo, descriptivo y transversal. El diseño de la muestra es probabilístico, trietápico, donde la unidad de última etapa es el individuo cuya edad está entre los 16 a 65 años. Los resultados obtenidos señalan que en los últimos seis meses, el 35% de las personas han sido víctimas de algún hecho delictivo, y el tipo de delito más común fue el hurto. Asimismo, el 74% de las personas que han sufrido algún tipo de delito, no han presentado denuncia ante la Policía Nacional del Perú (PNP), aduciendo como motivo principal que la PNP no hace nada al respecto.

This study was carried out in the district of San Juan de Miraflores having as main purpose to obtain reliable information about «perceptions of insecurity and victimization of citizens. The study is a quantitative, descriptive and transversal. The sample design is probabilistic, three-stage, where the final stage unit is the individual whose age is between 16 and 65. The results indicate that in the past six months, 35% of people have been victims of any unlawful act, being theft crime the most common type . Also, 74% of people who have suffered some type of crime, have not filed a complaint before the National Police of Peru (PNP), arguing as the main reason that the PNP is doing nothing about it.
